Gulf Crossing Pipeline
Boardwalk is constructing a new interstate pipeline that will begin near Sherman, Texas and proceed to the Perryville, Louisiana area. The project will be owned by Gulf Crossing Pipeline Company LLC (Gulf Crossing), a Boardwalk subsidiary, and will consist of approximately 357 miles of 42-inch pipeline having approximately 1.7 Bcf of peak-day transmission capacity with the addition of compression facilities.
Additionally, Gulf Crossing will enter into:
(i) a capacity lease agreement for 1.1 Bcf per day of capacity on Gulf South's pipeline system (including capacity on the Southeast Expansion and capacity on a portion of the East Texas to Mississippi Expansion) to make deliveries to an interconnect with Transcontinental Pipe Line Company (Transco) in Choctaw County, Alabama (Transco 85); and
(ii) a capacity lease agreement with Enogex, a third-party intrastate pipeline, which will bring certain gas supplies to Boardwalk's system.
Customers have contracted at fixed rates for approximately 1.7 Bcf per day of long-term firm transportation capacity (with a weighted average term of approximately 9.4 years). Boardwalk expects the pipeline to be in service during the first quarter 2009 and the additional compression to be in service by 2010.
Access to Transco Station 85
Gulf Crossing terminates at Perryville, Louisiana, but gas may continue along Gulf South's East Texas to Mississippi Expansion (shown below in green) and Gulf South's Southeast Expansion (yellow) to Station 85 of the Transcontinental Pipeline, a key third-party pipeline accessing the Northeast.
